They're messing with us!
All these years, all the spoofs of Martians we've done over the years, War of the Worlds, Mars Attacks, you name it, and the whole zarking time, they were just messing with us.
Look at this set of photos from Mars Opportunity rover, of the exact same piece of Martian dirt, taken 12 Martian days apart. (about 12 days 6 hours Earth time)
NASA is certain the rover did not travel over that piece of ground, but photographed it on the way past on each occasion.
Claims that the rock could have been flicked by a rover wheel are nonsense, with the rover never being closer then 3 metres to the site, and with an operating speed of about 3 km/h, I don't think that's possible. No other rovers have been within hundreds of kilometres.
The idea that the ring came from nowhere near the site is reinforced by its composition, which is said to be unlike any other Martian rocks, with a higher sulphur and magnesium content, and double the amount of manganese than any other rocks encountered to date.
Clearly, this is refined material - that is, manufactured by hand. (or claw, pedipalp, pseudopod, antenna, etc) It certainly bears no resemblance to any meteorite seen in 4 billion years of them landing here.
Now, have a closer look at the photos.
You can clearly see from 1 and 3 that while there is a tiny difference in angle and brightness, the piece of dirt is the same.
Now, check out the pointers at 2, and you can see in the first photo, a ring-shaped design on the rock, and that the ring fits perfectly to the shape on the ground. These are further clues that the design has been placed in that position. Note also that no similar discolorations are evident in the photo.
The facts of the picture can be confirmed right here.
What NASA isn't doing is pointing out the solid evidence that the ring is both manufactured and deliberately placed.
So, what does it all mean?
It means that Martians have been spoofing us since the very first time we looked upon their planet, hiding away and laughing at our little rovers as they trundle around.
Clearly intelligent beings, Martians have disdained to meet humans, and the ring being left is a clear message that while they're happy to exchange rings and be friends, placing it exactly on a fault line shows they want us to follow a path off the planet.
On the other hand, it could be a warning....
