No matter how many times it happens, I can't help but highlight the absolute disdain the entire real estate industry has for ethics.

Yet again, the Real Estate Agents Disciplinary Tribunal has clearly stated: agents may lie through their teeth to customers.

In this case, an agent has unequivocally lied. How the Tribunal has ruled is irrelevant. We insist on neutral referees in mean-nothing games of footy or cricket, but when it comes to misleading the public, the real estate industry is a closed shop.

Take a case to the Disputes Tribunal at the District Court and you will get an independent referee. Take a case to the Employment Tribunal and you will get an independent referee. Even if you're playing high school rugger, you will have an independent referee.

No way in the Real Estate industry - be judged by someone who has told the same lies you have on the way through. Guilt? Schmilt...

And even the one thing the firm was found guilty of, they were fined a miserly $450; less than Friday night's wine bill at most agencies.
