Is that flapping the sound of pigeons coming home to roost, or just John Key's lips as he tries yet again to talk himself out of a self-dug hole?

The GCSB saga continues with Key first denying that any journalist's phone call data was intercepted, then having to listen to his own Speaker confirm that it was.

I have been pointing out for some considerable time that our personal freedoms have been eroded and that we are increasingly becoming a society like Orwell's 1984, and it just keeps getting worse.

I've also been pointing out the electorate's inability to see Key for the lying sack of shit he really is, and while I don't expect people to wake up after this latest debacle, it's nice to see the point again proven beyond any doubt.

Key has lied all the way through the Kim Dotcom arrest and subsequent judicial process, he lied about the appointment of the head of GCSB, and now he's been caught lying again. He lied about the meeting with John Banks, even co-opting the police into taking illegal action to conceal his lies on that occasion. He cannot help himself, but unlike children, who get punished when caught, Key has made an art form out of getting away with the lies.

Key glibly sat and told Kim Dotcom that he was acting like a conspiracist with his claims of GCSB interference. Now, with egg all over his face, what are the chances he'll back down and admit that Dotcom was actually right?

Zero.

Make no mistake, Key is unquestionably, and demonstrably, the worst liar this country has ever had in politics, let alone the PM's office. He is a cynical, dishonest, manipulative and compulsive liar. He is incapable of standing on his own merits, simply because he has none. He bought his way into the PM's office, and has kept it solely through using photo-opportunities instead of progress.

And those are his good traits!
