Gobsmacked! That's what I am.

When two people as far apart on the political spectrum as Simon Lusk (right of Genghis Khan) and I (Democratic Socialist) are saying the exact same thing, you know it's true.

Lusk yesterday said something I've been saying for years:

However, he saves his most scathing criticism for National: "They are only interested in preserving power for their existing MPs, and do not care about the future beyond this administration."

He accuses the party of substituting "tenure for talent".

"The National Party is a bit like a high school, where . . . only the seventh form can become prefects."

Link.

Key is the worst offender of all, as his continual denial of stark facts, "brain farts" and other obfuscation shows.

Even better, Lusk repeats my feelings on David Shearer, seeing him as a nice bloke who just isn't a politician.
