Just when you'd almost given up on the Herald ever having a superior political journalist again, they're hitting the nail on the head with The Lying Sack of Shit.
Check out the lovely pic of him standing with his Chinese buddies as they make empty promises. It just becomes more and more obvious that there's no level Johnny Key won't grovel to in an effort to look good, oil palms and keep his job.
Consummate politician? Yes.

How appropriate my blog yesterday was about corruption in the National Party, when these revelations come out the very next day.
Any other country would be screaming for the heads of
these blatant, lying crooks, but here in old Enzed, we like Johnny so much that
hardly anyone is bothered by our PM being a Lying Sack of Shit.

New Zealand has long been known as one of the least-corrupt countries in the world, but I suspect that may be changing, entirely thanks to the National government.
I'm not talking about Hekia Parata and tens of thousands of missing Kohanga money, or the despicable behaviour of Judith Collins in using her political clout to secure advantage for her husband's friends. Along with those, we've seen Key's corrupt practice in appointing, then denying he knew, the head of GCSB, the Kim Dotocm saga, where laws have been subverted to please Key's bestie, Obama, and the fiasco of Len Brown using public money to screw his girlfriend.
Today, it transpires that the current government is so corrupt it is actually handing out millions in cash to a private company. This is not just corrupt, but insane.
If there is demand for a childcare centre, private industry will build one in the area where the demand exists. Funding a company to build them is the most insidious kind of corruption there is.
I wonder who the owners of that company vote for?
