The Key to our Future
There's an old saying about a week being a long time in politics, well it's been proven yet again by today's political poll, showing that last week's decline in National's support was but a temporary blip, and even worse news for Cunliffe, Labour's support falling below 30%.
The overall pattern of the post-Clark years have been a slow decline in support as the Greens take up most of the slack, but with significant numbers defecting to the Besties' Party, National. Labour must be looking fondly back at Phil Goff, because the irony is that had they stuck with him all along, they would now probably be in an election-winning position.
The only reason voters don't care enough about the corruption and lies of National is because there is no credible opposition.
Much better the devil you know rather than one who talks like an idiot and has no balls. It's a pretty sad indictment on opponents of Keytional that Winston Peters, now in his 150th year in Parliament, is the one garnering headlines in speaking out against National's corrupt practices and flagrant breaches of Kiwis' human rights.
Take a look at them:
Cunliffe. Inept, ineffectual, divisive, a bag of air with no substance.
Shearer: Great bloke, just not tough enough to stand up in the bear-pit of the debating chamber.
Russel Norman: Oh god, don't get me started. Aussie reject who shouldn't be an MP, let alone lead anything.
Metiria Turei: Much as I detest her politics, she is someone who could and should be visible. Where the hell is she? You don't win elections by staying silent.
Hone Harawira: Hahahahahahaha!
Kim Dotcom: Actually, seeing his name on the list makes Hone look pretty good.
Colin Craig: Christian dickhead whose stupidity is already legendary on the back of his moon statements.
You wouldn't hire one of that list to do any job more intellectually demanding than cleaning toilets, and given that they are so utterly worthless, would need intensive supervision to even do that.
I repeat, Winston is the only politician making any headway, and he's a bigger crook than most of the others added together!
As I've said before, Key is trying to build a legacy of National in his own image in a way that has never been attempted before.
And it's working.
