Why do people allow bullshit to be spread unchecked?
The number of subjects which are surrounded by bullshit is enormous, and there's no rational explanation for that.
Donald Trump is an excellent case in point - he can talk the talk, but it's all bullshit. He isn't going to build a wall between USA and Mexico any more than he's going to penalise American companies for outsourcing production. The guy is a moron and might even believe this crap, but if he ever became president, he would quickly be made to realise that POTUS does not mean "Emperor". He can't introduce a single piece of legislation without getting approval of Congress and/or the Senate.
I'm sure the people who vote for him realise this, which tends to confirm they just like the flavour of bullshit they're eating.
Trump is a calculating and devious man who has made a career of bullshit - he's been close to bankruptcy and has blarneyed his way out of it on a couple of occasions. This time, he might bullshit his way into the top job on the planet.
